Would recommend the Country Edge Motel to anybody looking to book a vendor event! We hosted one there recently and the manager was amazing to work with! The banquet hall has enough room for more than 15 vendors and with the pizza king next door it’s perfect....they even provided us menus to order from and then brought lunch to us so we didn’t have to leave our booths unattended! Can’t wait to get our spring event booked here soon!
We were stuck due to the weather. This is a very small older motor lodge. You do not see a lot of them anymore. The front desk clerk was very nice and gave up coupons for the pizza king they have at the motel. I have never had pizza king. It was different and delicious. The rooms were small but clean. I have sat here and looked at several reviews. We did get our deposit back the day we checked out with no problem. When we checked in we were explained the no smoking policy. If you do not smoke in your room you do get your deposit back. I was approached by a guest who said to leave a bad review because there friends were asked to leave. That is just plain rude! You don't slam a place because you do what your not suppose to. We enjoyed our quiet stay. It was different from the large hotels. We will be back if we are ever in this area again.
Nice quiet and clean little place. I’ve read some of these reviews and I have not had any issues ever. I stay here 5 or 6 times a year for the past 3 years. They do have some strict rules, smoking is the biggest. I’ve never had an issue with anything. Only thing I would add is WiFi for the end rooms would be a plus.
I only left a 4 star rating because they do not offer a continental breakfast.
I recently stayed at the motel which is located just north of the city. My stay was 10 days. I very much enjoyed the quiet, county feel. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and we'll maintained The staff is very friendly and helpful. While writing this review I noticed the other comments left by others who have stayed there and find nothing they listed as anything I experienced. The linens were crisp and clean and the cleanliness of the room was very good. Because my job takes me to many different places I would hope that I am back that way again so I can stay again. I would definitely recommend staying there. My stay was very satisfactory and I had a great experience
Minus 10. Not a bad place, they just need someone who is honest! Use your own judgement when staying here. I wouldn't ask for a deposit upfront unless I didn't trust the people I was looking at when they came in to rent. Just an option!!! Maybe she has a uncanny ability to tell a person's personality? Or maybe she thinks about herself when renting? You know the old question,,,, what would I do if I were staying here? I'm adding this extra ( I call it) just to say Thank you Stacie, for years I have been by your little house of ***** and I have always wondered if the place was even open, it always looked abandoned. But now I know that you are indeed running some kind of business out of it. Glad I could contribute to your what is it???? Oh remodeling. I was wondering if you were going to use some of the money that you took , oh sorry I meant to say that I donated to by those grills that I keep hearing about? I could never seem to find any of them. The breakfast that you advertise on your website is very nutritional, so much so that there are literally no calories, oh wait, I'm sorry there is no breakfast, that must have been a typo or some honest mistake. Folks I have read some of the reviews on here and I have to admit, some of them are false, someone is not telling the truth. I saw a few that almost sounded as if they were written by an individual that has close ties to the place, or maybe interest in it? Not sure I definitely could be wrong and I wouldn't want to be dishonest because I personally think that a lier is as close to a thief as you can get. You have a nice little motel here, who knows with the proper team running it and the repairs that I'm sure you will be getting done with all of the donations you seem to be getting from what all but a couple tenants you should be able to get the roof fixed and maybe some new linens, and upgrade to cable or maybe put some DVD players in? With your manager skills and all the donations your sure to keep getting the sky is the limit. Who knows you might even achieve a 5 or even a 6 star rating. Get your own towing service, you could make a lot of money just off of the people there with that. Once again I just wanted to say thank you for letting me see what an awesome individual you are.
